Armagh Child Contact Centre steering committee was established in July 2004 and formally constituted and accepted as a charity for tax purposes by the Inland Revenue on 4 November 2004 (reference XR82967). 

Armagh Child Contact Centre Ltd is a fully accredited member of NACCC (the National Association of Child Contact Centres), and is also a member of NINCCC (the Northern Ireland Network of Child Contact Centres), launched in May 2005.

The Committee comprises representatives from the local community, voluntary and statutory organisations including; St Vincent De Paul, Home Start, Armagh and Dungannon Health and Social Services Trust. The  First Presbyterian, Lecture Hall, College Street, Armagh is the premises where contact sessions take place. The Lecture Hall is in a central location in Armagh City that is accessible to all sections of the community.

Armagh Child Contact Centre operates on the first three Saturday mornings of every month from 10am to 12noon, and on Wednesday evenings 5.00-6.30pm by agreement.  Armagh Child Contact Centre held its first contact session on Saturday 5th November 2005.  A co-ordinator and a bank of 20+ volunteers (who have Access NI Checks and undergone Child Protection Training) staff the Centre.  Armagh Child Contact Centre will service families in the Southern Trust area.
